[Various] Xbox One Reveal - Page 131

Wow, I though the 10 family member thing sounded pretty good, but it sounds like only 1 of my family member will be able to play any of my games at the same time.
So if I have 2 brothers and they each have their console only one of them will be able to use my games even if they want to play different games.

This is it, not getting an xbone.

Think you might be reading into that a bit too literally.

So, MS is selling a HTPC without printer support.

Man, if I were in any position of power at Sony, I'd be making darn sure that my entire marketing scheme was centered around the PS4s lack of DRM. My bullet points would be microsoft's, but making sure to note that my system did not require ANY of that BS.

I feel bad for anyone getting an XboxOne... Lord knows I'm doing my best to spread the word to people who are gamers but don't follow this sort of thing.

You can be sure that a team a lawyers combed through every single point to make sure to cover their asses, there is no other meaning than the one written.
Those expecting MS to be lenient with their DRM are in for a surprise.

Yes MMMM!, Microsoft confirmed new details about its upcoming Xbox One will be bundled with the new Kinect motion sensor and be available in November for $499.

Flop that flop, XBOX!

So you like owning things you buy?
Would be a shame if you didn't...

It goes way beyond taxing used games and way far into the realm of leasing out products in which you buy instead of lease.
If buying a product doesn't actually buy me the product... then why the heck would I "buy" it?!

And before you rage with "OMG STEAM"... I don't support Steam either.
I think you if you purchase something, you should own it. Plain and simple economics.

If Sony's reveal is the exact opposite of Microsoft's, I can't imagine there being another Microsoft console honestly.

This is coming from a guy who owns a 360 and not a PS3. In-fact I'm not sure if I have even played the PS3 once.

Looking at their E3 lineup this console is mostly aimed at CoD kids, who doesn't care about used games anyway.

Watching the show a lot of the games they showed used the cloud in some way which would suggest always online is in effect, not just once every 24 hours

That's correct.

My father was asking me about it because he's disabled and idea of turning on and potentially operating a system with voice commands is very appealing to him. Otherwise it's just a weird refresh of the 360 with more annoying security.

I am glad they capitulated on the kinect idea. How did they think people would be okay with that?

When you buy retail games, you don't actually own the game either. You get a license to play the game.
