[Various] Xbox One Reveal - Page 49

So they are making this console with 40nm technology ? The same that AMD began making their HD 5000 series back in... 2009 ? I wasn't obviously expecting 22nm, but at the very least 32nm, if not 28nm, which is what AMD has been using for their GPUs since 2011. Being made with 40nm technology means it will probably not be as powerful as the PS4, no wonder they resorted to the laughable 5 billion transistors reference instead of talking more about specs.

Best case scenario for MS. Why limit yourself to one sub-market.  Gaming is just a form of entertainment, MS seems to be combining all forms of digital entertainment into one box.  i think it's great.

I have a basket with 5 TV remotes......one box for one funtion.  Xbox One is set to eliminate that need.

Dude no matter how logicall you are, people are going to hate because this Xbox doesn't ignore the 90% of people that will actaully buy it, and cater to the 5% that would never buy it anyway.

Why would anyone with a Gaming PC buy an XBOX even if the graphics were just as good? It offers no benefit. You already have the capability on your PC. Soooo XBOX is geared towards thos with a living room, who watch movies, tv, play games, make skype calls, check fantasy sports on Sunday afternoon, and want to look up recipes for wings before the game...Sounds pretty good if you're 90% of the country....ALL on one machine.

STEAMING MAD!
Well to be fair the Xbox was a gaming console first and an entertainment device second. They practically showed us 10 minutes of games in a 60 minutes conference most of which was about stuff which wasn't about games at all. They kinda went Crysis 2 on this one, "press the start button to continue" lol. I mean when you support a device from the very start it kinda sucks to take the back seat when they are trying to draw in new audiences.

Pfft, have you seen what sells over there? It's like a world dominated by kiddie tablet and 3DS games. I would not want to be a gamer in Japan, western games are much better.

They think vice versa and the sales over the course of Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 have proven this time and time again. Japanese gamers are MUCH DIFFERENT all around then American/European gamers

This was not an early E3 conference.

This was Microsoft revealing their console and what it can do. That was the purpose. This is about revealing their product named the xbox one, and that's what they did.

E3 is where people show off their games, and that is where you are going to see their games.

I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't shocked at what the conference turned out to be, but that was because I was expecting Sony conference 2.0. It wasn't, but it didn't need to be.

Exactly

Everything they showed was US oriented.

Nothing that is related to EU and Asian customers.

I bet most of our American friends also do not care about NFL...
