Why would anyone with a Gaming PC buy an XBOX even if the graphics were just as good? It offers no benefit. You already have the capability on your PC. Soooo XBOX is geared towards thos with a living room, who watch movies, tv, play games, make skype calls, check fantasy sports on Sunday afternoon, and want to look up recipes for wings before the game...Sounds pretty good if you're 90% of the country....ALL on one machine.

Exactly! Most sheeple......err I mean people, here on OCN don't seem to comprehend things like this. Gaming as we know it, evolved first on the consoles, hence why it has the mass following, not to mention price of a gaming PC can be quite large. We on OCN and those like us represent less than 5% of the gaming market. So you expect a company to ignore the 95% in order to appeal to you? rolleyes.gif

I thought the Xbox One looked like a decent step forward, could have done more I agree. However, complaining that its branching out into other entertainment areas is just stupid. For a forum of what I would consider hyper intelligent enthusiasts, some can sure be stubborn and closed minded to simple facts.

This was 3 years ago, I'm not sure about now. I would also still have this laptop if I didn't break it.

My opinion on what was said is, the XBOX One doesn't bring anything new to the table and as far as I can tell, all it can do for PC gamers is (theoretically) better game ports.

The same could be said about the PS4, but so far there aren't really any "proper specs" for the One so far, so we can't compare them.

Bullcrap, point me to a laptop that cost less or at $500 dollars a few years ago that could play games like that without overheating or being a stuttering mess.

The PS4 bent over the 360 technologically, and it's only recently started to show. Part of that was because of the absurdity of coding for the Cell processor, but you have to recognize that raw power alone is not what wins the console war. N64 topped PS1, PS2 topped Xbox, 360 topped the PS3... Being the most powerful system kind of has a bad track record.

Forced Kinect=no buy for me. I have no interest or care about it. And it drives up the price of the overall console. PS4 it is this round.
Sorta sucks about the Kinect and used games as I liked to lend and borrow games from friends....... Good luck to MS but looks like Sony is finally up after the rough patch with the PS3, people forget just how badly Sony dominated during the PS2 era. If Sony is leading though that's a good thing since they'll have the best hardware and graphics should really pick up so yay for us PC folks though!
