[Various] Xbox One Reveal - Page 71

LOL. I just saw the Sony BetaMax comment. But damn...I'm not trying to start anything or something but I remember there were jokes (and one of my friends who this happened to) about the kinect not recognizing darker skinned people as well as it was supposed to...so if MS is using it for some kind of DRM or something I think they're going to have some pretty nasty responses if that problem still exists. Honestly, I don't know how anyone would feel comfortable with the kinect watching them any moment. I mean...sure track when I go to a por...tech site, buy tires for a car, a song, and so on...but I don't want someone at MS getting a view of me in my boxers or picking my nose. That just sounds like a complete privacy issue.

How embarrassing lol

I don't really care about pre-owned sales that much either but this would also affect multiple accounts on the household xbox if it is just tied to a single account. I don'tk know if you personally care about that but me and my wife have seperate gamertags for various reasons, it would mean that we couldn't log onto our seperate gamer tags to play withough paying a fee which I find kinda ridiculous. Game breaking, maybe not but it is one more thing in a reveal, that I personally found underwhelming. The only thing that I honestly liked was the controller.

I believe the PS4 cpu runs at the same 1.6ghz. I doubt the edram will fully compensate for that huge difference in memory bandwidth. I hear DDR3 is better suited to serial computing tasks (can anyone verify this?) so that may be why they went that route having to sync up the windows 8 kernel, smart glass and the xbox dashboard for the smooth user experience (which I must say looks a whole generation ahead of the mess Sony showed for the PS4 already) so it may not be a bad thing. It is concerning that this is an SOC design with unified, presumably shared memory like the PS4, but unlike the PS4, it has much less bandwidth than just the 7790 gpu it rumored to be based on. The PS4 by comparison offers more bandwidth than both the 7850 and 7870. Still waiting to see what it all means in the end though.

Other than price assuming that Zavvi price someone posted a while ago is the actual price and not a place holder (X51 is £170 more), a bit smaller and is probably slightly more powerful.

Why should anyone get the XBOX One over the Alienware?

*sigh*

Lets see.

-Because they want a console experience

-Because they want to play any of the exclusives

-Because they already have an xbox account with a list of friends that allows them to easily game/chat with their friends.

-Because they have no interest in getting a traditional computer

-Because they are interested in Kinect 2.0

-Because they want a next gen xbox.......

?

Took the words right from my keyboard.... thumb.gif There is a place called, space, and in this space, there are things you don't know about, that have nothing to do with your agenda and your emotions on a certain subject. Yes this isn't a fairy tale, but actually reality.

Hi guys, I realize there are some funny rants out there but please don't post angry joe's rant or francis' rant about the new xbox. They both contain a high level of profanity.

Cheers

Better look at the new controller. So you can remove "something" from it, dunno what

Just a random, on the side USB port Microsoft? Any reason?

HDMI input eh? How well will this work with the HUNDREDS of different Sattelite/cable providers I can't help but remain sceptical about

So apparently this Kintect 2 doesn't move up down? What the hell is keeping it up?

Im guessing this is for headphone jack support me thinks
