Hello everyone, how are you?

I have 350$ to upgrade my pc, and I want to be able to play games at any graphic setting on my monitor's resolution 1336x768, which I know isnt much, but thats what I have.

So what I want is:

1) A new cpu
2) A new gpu
3) A new motherboard
4) Ram
5) A PSU
Hope you can help me, and thanks alot :-)

Could you post your current build? We will be better able to help you if we know what components are in need of an upgrade.

880AZ Biostar AM3+ Motherboard $60
CoolerMaster i500 Bronze 500w PSU $50 - $20 MIR = $30
G.Skill 2x2 4gb 1600mhz $38
Gigabyte 7850 1gb $180
OR
Sapphire 7770 Ghz Edition $115-$15 MIR = $100
FX-6100 Six Core $105 after coupon code MEMRDAY33

$408 After rebate...A little over...I tried to fit in a 7850 though for the free games you get.
Or
$328 After rebate with the 7770 (Still get free games)

I would've went with the 650 TI Boost, but the free games you get with AMD at the moment....your call on that one. All 3 cards are even overkill for that resolution

I just realized, that is a BEASTLY system for $350ish.

That motherboard will not let you overclock though. It will only let you overclock via multiplier, which that CPU is locked I believe.

He'll do better getting an Phenom ll 965 as the cpu. TD had 2GB sticks for $10 yesterday, but it is probably gone by now. redface.gif

You'll do better getting some parts used to save a little.

Why would he do better on a lower clocked, CPU with less cores, and an older architecture? I mean it's unlocked, but I'm willing to bet the 6 core would do better.

I agree on the used part though, used always saves money.

You would be wrong, that paticular 6-core is on the bulldozer, not piledriver meaning it was very slow. Remember clock speeds and cores dont determine speed. I would take a phenom over that 6100 all day every day.
