Yea I mean their SSDs are decent, that is what they switched their focus on anyways. Just the bad experience with buying their memory 3 times in a row and having all 3 sets of memory(all different models) all have issues(legit issues with memory tests like memtest), then switching to corsair and the first kit was a-okay, just put a bad taste in my mouth. I had also bought one of their SSDs, but I was upset when I found out for the same price i could have gotten a faster SSD, so i returned it.

I have never gotten a gigabyte board DOA before, die of natural causes? no. Die of me causing it? yes.

The NAND switch without notification a couple years back was a more than a little fishy but there's not a whole lot to be done about it now. I'm pretty consistent with the computer stuff I buy. I buy Kingston RAM, OCZ SSD's, Seagate HDD's, Be Quiet power supplies, and Gigabyte or Asus boards. Maybe I'm missing out on a world of things but I don't know if I care to find out.

This. The only MSI board I bought had a VRM failure. Meanwhile my Asrock with the same 4+1 phase has worked perfectly fine at levels that blew the MSI for about a year now.

I just can't take them seriously anymore.
OCZ reps also blamed Intel SATA controller and overclocking for the horrible issues with Vertex 3 drives. Just pathetic.

OCZ were pretty poor in endurance according to Xtremesystems testings:

Im glad that I didnt contribute to this statistic in a negative way before the time period in question.
Even with multiple Giga boards.

But im sad that in December of 2012 my UP5 blew up on its first boot and had to be RMAd.
Ill be part of the %% next time something like this shows up. redface.gif
