[VC] Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3DMark Performance Unveiled - Page 2

This was the lowest clocked 780 card too, so just imagine :O
post #12 of 115
Also guys please do note that the score difference seems smaller than it will be in real world scenarios due to the performance scores being included in this.

P-preset 3dmark scores are pretty much CPU limited. Even 3dm11 is a CPU bench these days. Gotta have that 5600MHz SB-E for best scores.

Titan is probably better binned as well judging from the TDP. I wonder if nVidia is going to make a GTX 790 to slaughter the 7990.

Benchmark postings like this should be banned from this site. This shows absolutely nothing. It's like saying that since the theoretical fp/sp/int performance of the HD5000 is faster then a titan. Synthetics don't mean anything and just lead to flame wars.

Don't care about performance numbers until we see real world performance. This thread should be locked. Any rational/practical human being would see that...especially since it has been extensively discussed, on here, for years, on why these benchmarks are bull.
So only 3% lower performance for $400-500 less? I'll believe it when I see it.

That's the listed boost clock, not the actual boost clock of the card they tested.  Pretty much all Kepler cards exceed the listed boost clock.

I would cry little inside now if i would own Titan. If this is true, i will be selling my 7950s (if the price is around 600€ for 780).

If this is even remotely true that gtx 780 is 3% slower than titan. I would welcome the gtx 780 inside my sm8 case even if it is cost $700.00. Since I like multiple card setup, a $600.00 savings for 2 is always good in my book. smile.gif

Time to order the pedestal base for my sm8 case for more rads...Gtx 780 are coming....
