'Delayed Launcher' by Intel - What is it?

Hello!
So this program Delayed Launcher which is supposedly part of Intel Rapid Storage Technology is checked to startup on my pc.

I do have an intel ssd as my boot drive but never really noticed this 'delayed launcher'

Anyone know what it does?

Thanks!

Could you fill out your rig specs so we can see what sort of hardware that you're working with.

I only noticed it after I went Z77 and have a feeling it appeared when I installed the drivers.
