Titan was already expensive been by itself sole competitor now is just ridiculous buying a titan when you can get a 780 for much less..

The Titan price/performance has been beat to death. You here to stir it up again?

I have an question for you, you obviously are not going to buy one, so why do you care? Seems like you are here to rub it in me thinks. thumb.gif

AMD was in a situation like this with their HD7970, didn't see them putting out a $650 MSRP. They aren't saints by any stretch of the word but they aren't Nvidia either... who I swear are trying to be the Apple of the GPU world.

If there was butthurt, it would primarily be coming from the people who paid $350 more for 8% better performance me thinks. And Yikes if you were hasty enough to buy 2 of those titans that's a $700 difference for such a small improvement in performance. Enough for a 3rd 780 lol.

Oh no im not into that at the moment..
Look at it this way, $650 some change to spare for waterblocks and there you go XD

Hope it will be a lil bit lower in price between 550-650 that would be nice..
As a matter of fact im praising the 780 for the performance given compared to the "titan

Exactly, they are not Nvidia. Sorry, not trying to be an @$$, but you have to get better known before you can start charging a bigger premium. Sucks, but that is just the way it is. AMD are no saints and if roles were reversed, they would be doing the same thing. I think I remember a $1k cpu that AMD use to sell. It was never worth the price premium, but guess what it sold anyway.

It's like 9% slower than titan @ $650.00, it's 3 gb vram, 384 bit bus, which I already have with 2 7950, performance on games will not beat my crossfire, power comsuption will be more with multiple gpu (I like multiple gpu setup). A decision is made on my end, I will add another 7950 for trifire. I would like to congratulate the people that will buy it, Happy gaming and may the gtx 780 treat you well....

No they weren't they, knew that Nvidia was going to launch their lineup within a month or two of the 7970. Same goes for the GTX 580 pricing, everyone was thinking that AMD was going to come out with a great card that would beat Nvidia's offerings pretty nicely so NV went ahead with a $500 price tag.

I think we can all agree, big business does not love you, they love profits.

Overpriced for the performance IMO. Nice card though.
