What? Do you have any idea of how PS4 games are developed? One of the big things about it being on x86 is that developers can use Visual Studio on Windows 7 x64 to write their games. The Windows kernel will give it a CPU performance disadvantage, AMD performs better on Linux to the point where a i7 3770k has a FX-8350 nipping at its heels in Linux benchmarks.

PS4 will destroy the XOne

I think the same thing will happen but in reverse, with Sony beating MS at first but the XOne catching up...Simply because I feel that the majority of gamers are in the position where they can afford to buy a console every 3-4 years or so now and end up buying the other console halfway through its life-time or later.

The OS isn't any better developer wise, both would use Visual Studio and Windows.

Shaders is arguable as only the Xbox and PC use DX, virtually every other console has used a version of OpenGL.

Same with the Xbox One.

Remember, it runs "Xbox OS" which is Windows based but not Windows.

Exactly. It is.

i just gave up on this thread ...

Visual Studio ...

one thing is for sure , we will see lots of multiplatforms now running almost identically , thanks to the "architecture" , the only excuse now is the developers knowledge of the console itself

Larger differences than I was expecting between the two. PS4 has the hardware advantage on Paper, lets just hope that the Coding and OS is up to the job, if so then the Xbox has a real competitor !

as far as we know, the only different in hardware seems to be the tweaks in the APU and the GPU.

Reserving judgement on whether or not Microsoft's DDR3 approach will be an issue or if Sonys GDDR5 approach will be an issue. j

The xbox 360 had 512mb of shared memory running DDR3 @ 700mhz.  The move to Xbox One and they're using 8gb of DD3 @ 2133mhz.  Huge upgrade if you ask me.  I still a bit skeptical about pairing GDDR5 memory with a CPU.  Maybe it's actually better, we'll just have to wait and see sense there's nothing to compare it to (which is worissome)

Using G memory with a CPU isn't new, the Xbox 360 had GDDR3.

Razer Onza was terrible. It was one of the worst PC controllers available in terms of quality. Razer Sabertooth on the other hand is a lot better, essentially they fixed everything wrong with the Onza.

Your article was posted two days before mine....Mine states the PS3 outselling the 360 was misinformation. I already told another forum member this when he posted a similar article to yours.
