[Anand] The Xbox One: Hardware Analysis & Comparison to PlayStation 4 - Page 8

Aren't developers on the PS4 using Windows 7 tools? meaning they could make it on either, no real need to port from one to the other.

PS4 will destroy the XOne

To say the PS3 "won" is a HUGGGE stretch.  They lost sooo much.  The fact that it even traded equal blows with the 360 is a defeat.  The PS2 had soo much market share compared to the original xbox.  Then out comes the 360 and microsoft sucks up half of PS2's numbers.  Going from PS2's massive sales figures, to playing catch up is not winning.

Not to mention, $$$ doesn't pour in from the hardware, that's up to the software, which the 360 wins hands down.

Compare them side-by-side. The PS3 controller is actually slightly wider than the 360 controller, thus making the 360 controller more like a gameboy. The 360 controller is taller though. I don't like how it tapers at the top too much... too narrow for big hands. Also, the asymmetric thumbsticks assume that you have asymmetric, deformed hands. I much prefer the PS3 controller

Maybe some of those console gamers will build their own 8 core and gaming PCs!

I see way to much "added value" to the Xbox for a majority of the user. Sony seemed to really focus on the ability to extended the gaming experience where as ms has 1,000 ideas of expanding what an Xbox does but with very little focus.

Xbox 360 has sold more units than PS3. Nice try though. And that's including japan, I think Xbox 360 sold 2,000 units over there lol.

And half the price...Oh please, get your facts straight. $400vs600

Playstation spec wise seems to have the upper hand but that doesn't change the fact that I absolutely hate the controller which ruins the whole experience for me, way to small. Yes PS3 has more exclusives at the moment then xbox, but they don't interest me other then metal gear and killzone, the rest I don't give a crap about. I always like xbox and 360 over ps2/ps3 because of the controller and games, have the triggers for fps and racing games was aswome play the first xbox had better graphics then ps2, football, basketball, pgr, forza, halo, fable, and others I can't think about right now is what kept me on the xbox, I used to have a ps2 till I played halo1 on xbox.

Games is what sells systems, and overall sony never made a single game that would make me leave halo, gears, forza, pgr (which is gone now), mass effect (when it was xbox exclusive). I owned ps3 to play and beat mgs4 and ownder other games as well and I have to say I do prefer xbl vs psn.

E3 will show weather xbox has the big games to sell systems.

And with the used game policy I think there might be a change with all the backlash on the Internet, unless sony goes with the same thing.

But most this applys to my opinion, there are probably a lot of people who prefer the smaller sony controller and sony exclusives vs xbox exclusives.

The Shader tool set is available as a plug in for Visual Studio (so any Windows), however, I am not sure if this any more than just the artwork side of the engine. The game will probably still be made via developer console with the assets drug in.
