If you don't want to use products or services for ethical reasons, then you might as well stop using just about everything in your house. Unless of course just about everything in your house was home made by those "vegan organic hipsters"

Eh I'll just enjoy my Nexus 4 while Apple fails to get this suit running.

I think honestly the hate comes from the fact that if you get a judge and jury ignorant enough of technology, these suits can do a lot of damage to the other company, the products they sell, the consumer, and innovation itself...
