More to the point. If you really think Apple is the only one engaging in this type of corporate warfare then you are either a fanboy or have your head so far in the dirt your hair is being singed by the heat of the Earth's core. This is OCN though so anything Apple brings out the seething and drooling masses.

Nobody has stated that Samsung is innocent. What people have a problem with is the number of lawsuits Apple has filed against many companies to "defend" iphone profits. On top of that, the patents used are VERY generic based shape type patents like rounded corners on an ipad or iphone. Yes many other companies have patents similar to that but you don't hear them suing on those patents (unless its a counter suit).

Because everyone is fixated on Apple and blows anything Apple out of proportion. Whereas no one cares about the rest. And yes, in many of these types of thread people have said and tried to play Samsung off as innocent. Just wait for it, always happens. Usually once the Samsung / Android evangelists get these threads up around 100 pages it gets interesting like that.

Whoops, I left out the comment where the looks of a phone doesn't really matter if you can't use it without risk having it break from a small drop.

I have a 11 year Nokia phone (not the famous Nokia 3310) that survived two laundry washes, contamination from the swimming pool twice (took me a while to realize that double plastic sandwich bags aren't waterproof), and lots of falls onto the concrete floor. The only damage was a bent upper plastic casing that could be fixed with glue. Also, the battery life is still longer than either the SGS3 or the iPhone 3, and the battery was never replaced.

Yet smartphone manufacturers are still trying to find the holy grail of the thinness, even if it means making the phone crack upon being sneezed on...

EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3c8il_Q6SU

I take that back, apparently Nokia is the only known manufacturer to build such tough smartphones. Kinda ironic how it's possible for the phones to outlive Nokia itself.

Pretty old, but still valid.

Notice how everyone is suing everyone? Nothing has changed since then. Everyone is still suing everyone.

Souldn't there be / isn't there a "span of useful relevance" clause that applies to technology and its' relevant patents?

Sad.

Makes me glad I own a SAMSUNG. devil.gif

Thanks - T

Show data that shows that they have been suing companies left and right like Apple does. There have been reports of motorola vs microsoft, samsung vs other companies as well. There aren't many players in the mobile phone business, so what do you expect?

I think the biggest problem people have against apple is their ridiculous patents. If they had more unique, specific patents, there would be a lot less people hating apple.

Samsung : 5

Apple: 14

Apple is the number 1 suit happy manufacturer. (according to picture)

Guess why you defend apple?

I just don´t like that they sell they crap for 700 euros, and they cost to produce about 150, a 550 euros increase just for the bitten apple logo...

You can´t share music with your friends, why the hell do people like the iphone?

A long time ago, apple was cool (now is in the fashion term) in the tech term, when they used their own procesors, then they started to became a status or "premium" brand, but now I see people that can´t even pay their house but have an iphone 5,Im very happy with my S3 (bought for 400 euros brand new) and when I see an iphone I ask myselft why do people like that, you will say, the case is pretty... That case made of aluminium is weaker than plastic (yes it is) and you know what? the mobile wirelles comunications are limitated by that, is is like a shield from inside, and why, why, or who had the great idea of putting glass over the phone and on the back?

an iphone is just like a clothe you put on... doesn´t work for anything more.. oh, you can play angry birds on it or call someone! awesome

I'm not defending apple though. I'm defending logic.

What I own has nothing to do with my reasoning here. Apple get held to a much higher standard with these kinds of things. FACT. I also own a PC and have owned a nexus 7. Does this make me some kind of heretic? No it makes me someone who likes trying different things rather than sticking to one product because of blind hatred towards a company. What I own is not an indicator of my reasoning or though processes. The very notion of someone defending a company is ridiculous and the sheer volatility of your comment is just outrageous. We're talking about patents and law here, not which product is better. Get back under your bridge you flamebaiting child.
