[Battelog] Battlefield 4 going next-gen - Page 4

post #31 of 45
Am I the only one who thinks BF4 on PS4 will support 64p and run @ 60fps?

Honestly, I don't see why it can't be done. A 7850 has no problems running the game @ 60fps on High settings.

They just need to use a mix of High/Medium settings and maybe a good "fake" AA method like SMAA, that did wonders in Crysis 3, SMAA 2x was almost as good as MSAA 2x, and it works in transparent objects too.

Microsoft's adding 300,000 servers for their Xbox LIVE service, so I think it'll be a safe bet that they can handle it. Sony would be a fool to not at least attempt to come close to matching that.

If there's going to be 3 factions...Russia, China, Merica, I can see the player count being raised to 128...on PC anyway.

If there is 3 factions it would be neat having 3 team games, imagine playing CQ 32vs32vs32 or 20vs20vs20 for consoles.
Or 3-way rush where each team has mcoms and as they are destroyed the new mcoms move farther and farther away from the center of a map. tongue.gif

How the multiplayer is done will make or break if I buy this or not.
EA will get reemed more so then usual if they dont top themselves, with bigger maps, bigger teams, new game types, and with new hardware, there isn't a reason they shouldn't be able to.
and If its worth it then I'll wait for when they release their premium that gives you everything in a neat spoonfeedy package.

Honestly, I don't see why it can't be done. A 7850 has no problems running the game @ 60fps on High settings.

I'm hoping it will, but I'm having my doubts after seeing that KZ is still running at 30 FPS.
Playing Halo 4 @ 30 FPS was torture for me, especially when it bogged down in MP.
I'd love to see options for 30 and 60 FPS settings, run 30 in SP for eye candy and 60 in MP with less..

30 fps is fine... they just need to make sure its doesn't go under. ever. and nor should it even on Multiplayer;
with 8-core CPU's they should be able to do 128 player games with eyecandy without dropping below 30 on these new consoles...

Agreed. I dont think the game can run with max settings @ 60fps. I would like to be proven wrong, but really dont see it happening.
