Both companies had their ''reveals'' and so far nothing is final. But for now, until E3, which console would you go for?

Voting ends June 10th. 1 day before E3

Right now if i had to choose i'd go for the ps4, but only reason i'd ever pick up a console would be MGS series or forza...
So i voted none biggrin.gif

Personally I'm indifferent to the current console generation; both have decent games - but I don't own any of them (controllers are worthless IMO). The PS3 had the advantage this gen by being more multi-media based (Blu-ray, mainly), and as a result I own one (only to play blu-rays); however, that's entirely pointless, as it came with my Sony TV (free bundle) - had it come with another Blu-Ray player, I'd have that instead.

From what I've seen so far, the PS4 seems to be 'doing it right', Both are already multi-media focused, and don't need to be any more than they are already. Both play blu-rays, both will have a (useless) internet browser, and both will have netflix. Outside of that, it basically comes down to games; and so far, the PS4 is better. It has (from what I've heard) a better GPU, but effectively the same CPU. Spec wise the consoles are "the same" in terms of architecture; but the PS4 is simply more powerful in the actual specs. As a result, if I were forced to choose, I'd say PS4.

Either way, I don't REALLY care. I'm a PC gamer; that's all I've been for well over a decade, and I'll continue to be. The console FPS games will NEVER touch the PC genre (The Counter-strike pro's are simply an entirely different level), the entire RTS genre doesn't work on console, and RPGs end up being the same. So I lose out on a few exclusives (really, just Halo 3 and Uncharted - the only ones I'd like to play); but I make up for it in steam sales, PC exclusives, and graphics. As long as this generation doesn't stay around for FAR too long and hold back PC development, I really don't care.

Blu ray is one of the reasons for me to purchase a console. I used to own a PS3 and a collection of over 50 games but sold all 2 years ago. I don't miss it at all but I miss the blu ray function. However I am sad that I missed out on a few PS3 exclusives though.

I am also a PC gamer and will stay that way. However I will definitaly grab a console and PS4 seems more logical to me. I am sure they will have some kick ass exclusives. Also another reason is that there are games out that that made it to Xbox 360 and PC but never to PS3. Therefor I will be picking up the PS4 at launch probably.

and games like Fifa are best played at a big screen and a console.

At this current time I have to go with the PS4. It appears more powerful as well as having less restrictions than the Xbox One.

Either way I most likely won't buy either but if I had to choose at the moment of this post it would be the PS4.

I would never buy an XBOX One.
The fact you can't sell your old games off to help towards new purchases is a MAJOR turn off for me.

XboxOne is filled with DRM that doesn't allow you to rent games from GameFly or borrow your friends copy of the game without paying a 50 dollar rip off fee. Microsoft is a joke company.
