Odd i7-920 restarts

Thread Starter
I have recently bought an Intel Core i7-920 D0, Foxconn Bloodrage and TRUE 120 as an upgrade from my old Athlon x3.

I'm running the CPU at 3.8GHz and 1.36v (It seems like it's a bad bin), but my main problem are weird restarts.

I think the culprit is the fact that I accidentally ripped a small coil off the motherboard when I was installing the TRUE; I have no pictures, but someone on Reddit had the same problem with images.

The restarts happen whenever I load the CPU for more than ~30 minutes.

I can run OCCT for about 25 minutes when it shuts down (not restarts!, max temp reached was 96°C and the shutdown temp in BIOS is 100°C), GTA4 for 15 minutes before the screen gets scrambled and the PC restarts; but sometimes I can play GTA4 for an hour or more until I get a game-related error.

When I run OCCT small data set, the temperature jumps to 80°C in a second and the PC reboots almost instantly.

Run OCCT/Prime95 at stock to rule out temperature problem.

I ran the OCCT small data set at 4GHz 1.30v with no temperature issues, and it restarted before giving me any errors.

I'll try running the test at stock now.

EDIT: I'm running the small data test on stock with no issues now; the max temp reached is 71°C on Core 0.

I feel really dumb now, I should have expected that the motherboard would shut down the PC even if it reached 100°C only for a split second. (If temperature was the culprit.)

I'll try to get a stable 3.8GHz overclock and report back.

Maybe there was an issue in the settings, I remember this from the BIOS:

QPI 180MHz
Turbo Enabled
IOH voltage 1.22v
VCore +100
VTT voltage +240
PLL voltage 1.812v
VDroop compensation off
RAM:QPI 6:1

EDIT2: I'm running it at 3.36GHz and stock voltages without issues now. I hope it won't be a bottleneck to 2 HD6850s.
Uncore: 12:1

Some tips for this platform:
No need to raise CPU PLL yet, it increases temps rapidly, some people actual reduced it to around 1.5v

No need to touch IOH voltage.

Set CPU VTT to between 1.25-1.35v for a 4GHZ oc 21x191.

Use slowest QPI Link, but not slow mode.

Uncore Multi must be atleast 2x the Ram multi.
