Without VRM cooling it takes around 1.45v to blow the power delivery system.

If it was 1.22v then you'd see dead cards everywhere all the time...

I wonder how many 780s will reach the top 10. There´s still hope, as tsm106 somehow managed the 10th place with his golden 7970s. tongue.gif

There are so few quad GPU setups that comparing them isn't really representative. 99% of us will never get to test these setups and push them to the max.

Just go by single and 2-way results since the sample size is much bigger.

Actually this card is geared toward those who update their GPU every 2-3 years. For GTX 580 owners this card offers upto 100% performance improvement. GTX 680 is fine for 1080p gaming with 40-60fps, except few titles. GTX 780 is aimed beyond 1080p, or multi-screen gaming. Still that price bump is injustifiable to some including me!! frown.gif

I don't think Titan was made to be long term though.

It seems it was just made to get rid of unused chips.

Yes it is a good discussion to have and I, for one, appreciate benifiting from the thinking of all who have provided input to said discussion.
I own a strong pair of 580's but at 2560 x 1600 it's getting to be that time.

Kepler cards have little performance increases with new drivers due to the architecture being mature.

Nvidia cards saw similar increases as the current GCN cards back when Fermi was a new thing. Similarly next gen AMD cards will hardly see improvements just like older AMD cards on mature architectures didn't.
