Very nice boost over the GTX 680 but Volcanic Islands on paper looks incredible. I just hope the GTX 780 release pressures AMD to release their cards this summer.

It is basically what it was always intended to be...

Agreed the pricing is offensive to some degree but it stems from lack of competition. I don't have the money, but if i did i would be considering it for the performance. Hell i still am if it somehow dropped to 500$ The other thing to consider is Q4 13 Q1 14 will here before we know it and we should have some advancements hopefully back to regular pricing as well. 650$ is very hard to swallow for a single GPU no doubt.

Those specs for Volcanic Islands are merely speculation so as of now take them with a grain of salt. Would be great if that were true though.

Karlitos you never answered my question what article is this picture from?

I'm willing to bet it uses $400 for the 670 and $500 for the 680 which of course is no longer accurate.

I'm pretty sure those are his charts based on the Valley thread results.

Will a single 780 be bottlenecked by PCi-E 8x?
