I do, and I know it would be a nice upgrade (and I'd really like to go Nvidia this time around). It's just that $650 seems rather steep merely to get a good single display gaming experience. I spent $200 on my 4850 back in 2008 and it provided great gameplay with any game at the time; I spent $300 on my 6950 and it served me up high/very high settings on most titles (mostly still does), and only recently has started to show a little struggling with the more demanding new games. Now I should consider something double that price? Intel managed to sell me an Ivy chip that wrecks the C2D it replaced, for $100 less than I spent on the thing (and Intel hasnt exactly had much competition from AMD, either, but they dont seem to have jacked up prices in the same manner). WhyTF are my gpu upgrades sticking it to me prison-style?
The 780 does look super sweet, yeah. I'm hoping the 770 will still provide a nicely high-end gaming experience, though, at a price that allows me to play without needing to sit on a donut pillow.Edited by Otterclock - 5/26/13 at 2:00am
