The 780 is a nice upgrade from a 7970 , now if it's not for you in your mind that's another story, and no... no info on maxwell yet.

There is no need to get nasty. I said i was basing it on some of the reviews posted on the OP of this thread.

The reviews show as little as 10-15% over 7970 and i am assuming that is stock. Seeing as i get as much as 30% performance increase over a stock 7970 and 780s dont overclock well my assumption was sound. If its wrong fine, that's why im here asking smile.gif

With that said 10-15% if thats the case is imo a very small increase anyway. I generally dont like to upgrade until the next single card equals SLI/CFX of my current card. Hence why maxwell was looking really nice based on that roadmap i saw if that turns out to be true.

Who cares about it being a "monopolistic approach"? What effect does that have with my gameplay exactly?

My bashing has nothing to do with "underdogs". I don't care at all about that political silliness, I care about what works, what has objective measurements showing it's better, and what has the best features.

Well neither I nor some friends of my with AMD cards had any driver-related glitches/flickering, so you probably did something wrong if you had it commonly. But I can prove nothing so let's not talk about that.

All I know is if there were no competition we would now have 8800gt kind of performance for 1k$. So be grateful to ppl who buy AMD. But you said you don't care about that, which I (again) can't understand. But I guess we are all different.

Not my fault you won't look at the data in reviews and users' overclock comparisons... they trade blows depending on the sample, occasionally pulling apart by a couple of percent. Have fun "noobing" around, keep that head buried in the sand thumb.gif .

EDIT to add: And before you get too full of yourself, other than being wrong, you also don't even seem to understand the terms being discussed while having no desire to learn. In fact, the post is quite self-descriptive of yourself. Your opinion of me, coming from someone like you, is basically something I couldn't care less about. smile.gif.

You know that this flickering issue most of the time is because the card change from 3d to 2d clocks and voltage?

To the first paragraph, you can find a LOT of examples of it being proven with google. I'm not sure how you think someone can magically induce shadow flickering and be unable to fix it though.

I never said anything about competition in general... speak for yourself. No one wins when one company is all that's there, but PhysX is not causing that.

No....

It happens when the memory clock changes.
