Exactly this. thumb.gif

A 5GB version would require a 320 bit bus, and likely based on K20, which would be a completely different card. Titan LE perhaps.

You are reading far too much into a single word there which has no negative connotation on its own.

Can you point out to me in this thread where I so much as mentioned Valley let alone talked about Valley being the end-all be-all as you put it? You can't for the simple fact that it did not happen. For that matter, point it out to me in any other thread where I said it. Nope, you won't be able to do that either. Participating in Karlitos Valley bench thread means exactly that, I'm participating. Just like I've done in Heaven, or Metro, or Mafia 2 etc.

You want to debate, let's debate. But don't say things that aren't true about people.

I'm interested to see what 780 FTW is going to bring to the table. With the SC being so close to Titan, a FTW is probably going to beat it.

Alatar actually kept demanding Valley scores as did a number of other people, as though they were the only valid ones. If I get bored later I'll look through this monstrosity of a thread for the quotes, wink.gif.

Here we go, people kept harping about Valley needing to be done, as I said... (not sure why you think "you guys" included you specifically when I didn't name you in that sentence):

I'm sure there will be some golden 780s that will do even better.

BTW, knock off the childish "beloved" potshot comments if you want to debate anything. I don't see the need for that foolishness.

As you can see, mention after mention of Valley NEEDING to be done, as though all other proof presented was worthless. As we now can see from the early results coming in of 780's, they are indeed within and usually under 5% different in speed even there, as well as games, OC-to-OC. Stock-to-stock it's no comparison, the 780 SC ACX wins (you can't buy a custom-cooled Titan that'll beat that even, in the USA). But yes, every time I mentioned a review, or a user benchmark, all that was said was "bench valley NOW!". As you said, please don't fabricate things that aren't true: these quotes are from this very thread.

Also, it's kind of funny you even bolded the wrong part of the quote. This is the one that mattered... double standards for the win...

Tiger, I think you should post your score and assume that your card is weaker than a GTX Titan.

I myself bought a GTX 780 and never I will say it is better than the Titan. Max score in Valley with GTX 780 is 76 fps, and max with a Titan is 87 fps.

Thats is a whopping 15% better score..But for a better representation of GTX 780 VS GTX Titan, you might want to test each benchmarks one by one.

rolleyes.gif One outlier score out of 3 months worth of Titans proves pretty much zilch, when there have been only a handful of people who have received/posted results for their 780's. Please, give it a rest. You also aren't reading your own chart:

900x900px-LL-0010c301_Capture.jpeg

78.7fps from a 780 that is whisper-quiet. Not to mention $350 cheaper, and the TOP cream of the crop Titans get 80-82fps (with only around 10 people ever doing so) after three months of people trying. Whereas within 5-10 results of the 780, we're within a tiny single-digit percentage difference.

We can take the average even of the uber Titans (aka "you aren't getting one unless you win the silicon lottery at the top prize level") of 81fps, and compare it to 78.7fps resulting in... 2.9% difference.

Look, I know you are trying to justify your purchases to yourself... but there's NO need to try to pretend the facts aren't the facts here. You are completely transparent and obvious in your motives for continually trying to bash against raw data. You can feel good for yourself in that you had 4-8 weeks or so enjoying your Titans, if you want, but to say it's a better card... in a vacuum where everyone got everything for free, sure. In real life? 2.9% is effectively non-existent when deciding between $650 and $1k, let alone SLI 780 @ $1300 and 1k Titan where you could then get 80%+ better perf.

Stop trying to claim the sky doesn't appear blue to humans on Earth, when it indeed does.

Ah forgot about wholeoo score added yesterday.

Its funny how you were defending the GTX Titan for the last 3 months and now since you bought a GTX 780 you are bashing the Titan. wth.gif

Why do you say I'm trying to justify my purchase? lollll I just said I bought the GTX 780.

I personnally think its useless arguing with you. Because you will always defend what you own, no the GTX 780 is not the best, YOUR GTX 780 ACX is the best.

Why don't you post a score? wink.gif
