Yeah 4 GB should be fine but based on how the memory bandwidth is setup on the 780, it can only do 3 GB or 6 GB (or 1.5 GB but no one wants to go backwards).

didn't you Nvidia guys love bringing frametimes into discussions when AMD was really bad at them afew months ago? Well... turns out they are pretty good at it now lol. 12% difference between a 780 and a 7970 when looking at that metric.devil.gif

I cannot and will not look at your numbers, as they do not fit with my selective numbers. lachen.gif

I'll play along though, when looking at frame time numbers, only SLI vs CF numbers count.

Brace yourself, I hope your eyes don't bleed. biggrin.gif

Micro-Stuttering: Dynamic V-Sync (AMD)
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7990-devil13-7970-x2,3329-11.html
"Aside from a few dropped frames and a handful of spikes when the test changes scenes, our dual-Tahiti card enjoys much smoother sailing. In fact, the end result is often better than what you'd see from a single graphics card, with virtually no micro-stuttering left.

The RadeonPro software is more complicated to use than Nvidia's hardware-based solution because you have to manually create a new profile for each and every game. But the results speak for themselves. This is nothing short of a revelation for the folks who pin the scalability of their gaming machines on multi-GPU configurations, but hate the idea of micro-stuttering. John Mautari, the utility's developer, deserves big thanks from the crew at AMD, to be certain. "

Anyways this is 2010rig... i won't even waste my time.

I tried RadeonPro and did not find that it helped with MS at all for some reason using Dynamic V-sync or anything else in the tool. Not sure if the issue is someplace else in my computer or internet connection at this point.

I guess you didn't read my disclaimer. rolleyes.gif

But if the shoe fits, wear it. thumb.gif

Are you really that incapable of detecting sarcasm? I thought it was blatantly obvious:

I went as far as adding a nice little disclaimer for those who lack the skills to decode sarcasm. tongue.gif
