One Its just not enough..

We want 2x the performance of a 7970ghz edition on a single gpu or go home..

Even Maxwell wont give to ya. Wait till Volta arrives.

GT why do you keep on saying 5%? 5% and 10% is big difference.

According to all the reviews, stock clocks, Titan is 10% faster.

Driver improvement may not be uniform even if same GK 110 chip are used(titan and 780)
The discrepancies can be seen on same Tahiti XT/PRO boards 7900 series gradual driver improvement

THIS. In our case Titan is 7970 and 780 is 7950.

I feel you 7970 and Titan owners.

+REP for a great find!

According to all the reviews, stock clocks, Titan is 10% faster.

Every REFRESH thus far has, over the course of that card's support, had about a 10-15% performance increase from launch +++.

The argument here is that the Titan is a refresh as is the 780...However, they're uniquely similar enough that any benefit to the Titan will be easily applicable to the 780.

Stock to stock, the Titan is 10% faster but, the other misnomer that's unique to this launch, is that the 780 happens to be a surprisingly good overclocker where-as the Titan, is not.

That creates a discrepancy over time...And what most people are "bantering" about in this thread.

AMD drivers are an entirely different discussion of their own considering you can't actually modify the drivers...

P.S. @ Regent Square...I've actually written Nvidia drivers...Had to write the entire mobile platform for Alienware's drivers for @ 4 years so, I have a feeling, just an inkling, that I actually know a little bit about this.

Thats what i mean. With 12.11 drivers 7950 outperform 7970 with over 10 fps difference on max payne 3. I feel bad for my 7970s

Hehe, what is what you deserve for buying the best card. biggrin.gif

But really, if NVidia follows the same pattern as shown above, I can image how many raged Titan owners will there be; oh wait, you all have sold your titans frown.gif
