Exchange rate! The US dollar is smashing us. It was good while it lasted i got my titans $500 cheaper and a few other gizmos.

Although the price of some stuff will go up a little in Aus it is for the better of the country the usd goes well against the aud. I just wish I was in a forex trade a few weeks ago and would have made a killing off the slide.

I also don't understand how the prices are higher for an item here when the aud was so strong and now it's gone south we are getting more price hikes. I'm seriously not going to buy local anymore if they are going to be so blatant. My asus vg248qe monitors cost 499 each. I could have got them from the states for 261 plus 80 delivery for each one. I opted for local so I could return them if there was a problem but in the end I debezelled them and I could have bought from the states anyway because I void the warranty.

I hear the uk gets slugged too for prices.

Even when our dollar was higher we would still pay alot more than we should, the government needs to step in at some point....We even pay more for digital downloads for heffing sake...

Not worth upgrading, that's for sure.

The 670 FTW is "missing" one SMX cluster as compared to 770, but that certainly isn't enough of a difference to justify the time, inconvenience, and cost of upgrading.

The best time to buy GPUs for longevity's sake is when a new process rolls out.

Refreshes aren't usually that worth it unless there are some special circumstances (Titan/780) or if you need a card right now. Or just have to have the latest and the greatest.

yeah i have a half-functioning 5770, so it's pretty much mandatory with a new haswell build, even if its not ideal

here in portugal difference between asus 770 DCII and asus 780 is like 250euros big difference...i just might settle for 770 and later add another one (450\700)...
