Refreshes aren't usually that worth it unless there are some special circumstances (Titan/780) or if you need a card right now. Or just have to have the latest and the greatest.

Makes sense. Though I tend to buy during the refreshes because:
1. Price drops will either make the refresh more favourable or will drive the previous gen's prices really low
2. There would have been enough time for driver and game stability with the new architecture so I'll either suffer fewer problems or be able to properly assess performance since I'll have a year of data to sift through.

I have however considered getting a GTX 770 (or maybe a used 670/780/7970) later this year since AMD is being silent on the 8000 series.... GTX 780 is definitely outside my comfort zone for price/performance. My unholy combo of (downclocked) 6970 Lightning + (overclocked) 6960 TF2 should hold me for longer until I get a buyer

Just a question before I spend 600€ on a GPU, the different vendors that are currently selling it (evga, palit, zotac, msi,...etc.) there is no difference between them, right?
There are no custom cards out ATM so it just depends who soldered the chip to the electronics.

All the cards from the different companies mentioned that look like this:

Will be the same exact thing besides the box, accessories, bios' and warranties.

Get the one that suits you warranty wise.

May be waiting for good overclocked custom cooler versions are worth it, right?
