Still expensive IMO. You can buy 4 7850's for the price of one $650 GTX 780. It's obviously a powerful card, but like all other Nvidia GPU's, their a bit expensive for their performance. Now, if this was $500 and everything else below and above scaled accordingly....wishful thinking I know.

You can always buy 2 lesser cards and get more performance than whatever particular card you're talking about. That'll never change. Better = more $$$. No way around it.

I went with 780 SLI. Maybe they'll overclock really well and both come close to a 1200mhz Titan, who knows. Either way...it's SLI for $1,300 instead of $2,000. Couldn't resist thumb.gif

Nah I'm sticking with the beasts. These 780's are much better value but the Titans are still better cards...

Definitely. I had a ton of fun owning my Titans. They will reign for a while still too. Hell of a card.

I predict no more Titan's being made here shortly and the GTX780 becoming the flagship card. Sales will still go up even if prices don't go down.

Yes, but a single 780 doesnt require a quadfire motherboard, a PSU capable of dealing with quadfire, and the patience to deal with all the scaling/driver issues 4 7850s would bring.

I doubt that. It's like someone already said, the Titan is basically the 6GB 780. They'll keep making them though there may be a price drop at some point...

I was told they had a 1 limit quantity with 680 launch. It was 2 this time around so it is without a doubt to me that they had a higher quantity.

Regarding 6GB versions of the GTX 780, here's EVGA's take on it:
