$744.61 (shipped)

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8153348&sku=M452-0780

guess I was right after all (I assume these prices will go down in a few weeks) or at least I hope..

the $56.00 tax is just flat out wrong..

I don't think price has anything to do with it, I think alot of people already bought GK110 Titan's period. That was an abberation Nvidia did not expect, Sales numbers wise, according to their own people. I and others don't need a GK110-780 cause we already bought a Superclocked GK110-780-Plus, regardless of the Product name of Titan.

If there was never a Titan, and they only just now released the 780, trust me there would be no stock of 780's anywhere, just like the 680 which was a royal pain in the neck back then.

Guys remember that yields were very bad for Kepler in the beginning. Even though these are GK110's, the process is very mature now and they likely had plenty of chips available by now for release...

You could buy from multiple manufacturers too. I had 3 in checkout and was about to click buy...logic got the better of me lol.

I predicted the 650 price point and I predict a drop to 599 when ati brings competition. Titan will drop to 850-900 levels when the 780 drops to 599. When maxwell is gonna come out i expect an EOL price of 500 for the 780s and an EOL of 700 for Titan. This could be another 1 1/2 - 2 years

Well, the reason I say that is take a look at the stock of Titans on Newegg and Amazon. OOS for most and the price has been increased on the ones they have. They know people may not be gobbling up the 780s real fast hoping for a price drop on the Titan. The way I see it is, stop making the Titans, have the GTX 780 as the flagship card (seeing as how they have already got plans for a classified gtx 780) and release a GTX 780 6GB for slightly more money. Even @ $750 a 780 6GB will sale a greater volume than the Titan.

I'm guessing it may have something to do with the $650 price tag.  I'm sure they have better volume than the 680 launch, but that price is going to make a lot of people think twice.

Why not just buy one of the half dozen still available at Newegg for $649?

The purchase of my 2 780s may curb my upgrading fetish when Haswell comes out, guess it depends on how high they overclock, but I was excited for it..but another $550+ after just dropping $1320 for relatively no performance increase is kinda taking the wind out of my sails

To some extent I agree. There are no more potential Titan sales to be cannibalized, because anyone who wanted the Titan already got one with the hype and all.
I just don't see too many people rushing to buy a 780, I just don't.
This price will come down to the median for such releases of $500 ish, as the pricing history reverts to the median eventually, barring any hype.
