1. The GTX 780 is a killer new card from Nvidia and the obvious choice for most high end consumers.
2. The GTX Titan is a faster video card but its cost is now prohibitive in light of the GTX 780's release.
3. I would buy two GTX 780's over two Titans if I were buying cards today.
4. I am keeping my Titans as the cost and hassle to replace them with slower cards would not benefit me.
5. I understand exactly why Nvidia have priced and released the cards the way they did and am not mad about it, but would have done things differently in retrospect.
6. I am not jealous of GTX 780 owners who have gotten the bulk of the performance of my Titans at a much lower cost. Congrats on a great card!
7. My SLI Titans deliver absolutely mental performance in every game I play and I have never been more satisfied with a video card purchase.
8. I'm sure number 8 would be true if I had purchased GTX 780's as well.
9. I do not foresee ever needing the 6GB of VRAM my cards have but its nice not to have to worry about such limitations.
10. I wish AMD had released a 7970 refresh before Titan launched so there would've been more pressure on Nvidia to make Titan the GTX 780 in the first place.

Are people still bothering you about your Titans? I don't know why you'd feel the need to defend yourself. You got the best single cards that money can buy. Selling them would be a big profit loss, I'd just enjoy the reign of having the fastest cards.

Doesn't matter if you spent more. Regret is for losers. You made a choice and you are happy with the cards. No one knew the 780s were coming this early nor knew that the performance is as good as it is. No one here is psychic.

Titan was never about cost for performance. It's an enthusiast card and that's exactly what you are! thumb.gif

Great neutral post, +rep.

I don't like that Nvidia released an expensive card though (Titan). It allowed them to release a cut down (GTX 780) much cheaper so people go all crazy and over hype about it because they compare it to the Titan. Of course the Titan is a great card but it seems they used the Titan card to get more sales with the GTX 780. And still, I don't think the GTX 780 is very cheap, but because of the Titan price and the GTX 780 performance, people believe it's cheap.

Nvidia are master of marketing.

If they want to price the GTX 780 at 650$, they should put the Titan at 850$ MAX.

When you do your benchmark, press F12 at the end for the screenshot.

Need help on HOW TO Take a Screenshot???
HOW TO TAKE A SCREENSHOT IN UNIGINE VALLEY (Click to show)

By Default, the screenshot key is F12 Like shown in this picture (Shown in Loading Screen of the benchmark)

But if you want to set another key, you need to go in Valley Settings... Shown Below

And now to find your screenshots, you need to go in C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Valley\screenshots...Shown Below

Is your CPU and GPUcard overclocked? If its stock GPU clock, then its a nice score. wink.gif

I don't see anyone giving him, or Titan owners a hard time. What he said is spot on.

There are people in the thread that keep saying the 780s are faster than the Titans which isn't true.

thing that gets me is that the Titan is still relatively new, and then Nvidia goes and releases the 700 series flagshipped by a $650 gpu that rubs shoulders with a $1k card, with factory OC'd versions possibly doing more than that (not to mention a variety of coolers offering temp/acoustic improvements) . I really doubt any Titan owner is 'upset', because any way you slice it the Titan is a fantastic gpu, and let's face it- if you're in a position to lay down $1k for a gpu, the cost difference isn't keeping you up at night. But..the whole ordeal still seems a bit crummy on Nvidia's part.

I'm satisfied with my Titan. I think it's Nvidia's business practice and how they handled the Titan/780 that gets at me. It diminishes the Titan a bit IMO. They should've released the 780 first THEN come out with the Titan. They did it the other way around and seems a bit slimey as they knew full and well their intentions this entire time.
