I currently have a GTX 680, I can grab another one for 350.00 (which I bought my first one for as well) total of 700.00 total or go with the gtx 780. Which one do you guys think is the better upgrade?

Where can you buy a GTX 680 for $350? New or Used?

For you, I think it'd be wise considering you're bumping up to a higher resolution but, I'd wait a bit...See what happens because there may be a 780 6gb right around the corner...

I don't want to be "just enough" when I upgrade to 1440p monitor(just single monitor). I want it to not break a sweat per say.

3gb of Vram is not "breaking a sweat" but, if you can get a 6gb for $50 more as history has shown us, it's worth waiting for in terms of value...

Seems like a gtx titan for 750 would be a good choice right?

The Titan has other additions to it like Shaders...etc...etc...

I'd suggest you read up on the entirety of the changes that occurred to the 780 because there have been 6gb samples out for a while...

What i'm trying to say is, They have the titan already at 6gb.

Why would nvidia release a 780 with 6gb of memory, for an extra $100 when they can charge an extra $300 - $400 for the titan.

See where I'm getting with this smile.gif?

The Stream Processors that aren't present // Texture Units is actually hardware that's NOT present on the 780 but, is on the Titan.

The removal of that hardware would lead to the justification of a 780 6gb because you're not making the 780 INTO a Titan, you're only adding more Vram.

Plus, notably, there are samples already floating around of possible 6gb versions.

See where I'm going with this? thumb.gif

So your telling me, the smallest of differences on the titan equate to a price tag of $350 more?

Hardly.

Please link me to a "Positive Source" of these 6gb 780's you speak so fondly of biggrin.gif

Let me reiterate my last post...

I never said they where making a 780 INTO a Titan.

I simply said, Why would they release a 6GB 780 for $100 more, People wont touch titans because of the performance difference being so LITTLE.

Thus causing nvidia to loose sales on there more expensive cards.
