The Qnix is not capable of lightboost it does not have the hardware to do so.

Light boost is Nvidia proprietary and only Nvidia supported monitors offer this feature. None of the Korean monitors are Nvidia supported with light boost or Nvidia 3D Vision.

For the monitors that does support light boost it is possible with an AMD card. It's not as easy as going into Nvidia control panel but its possible.

I recently asked it myself. Too bad because if it did have lightboost it would be damn near unstoppable.

Hey guys, i read this thread over and i liked the ASUS monitor suggested, but does the 27" monitor the VG278 experience horrible light bleed like the people complaining in the reviews? I liked the 24" but i kind of want a bigger monitor like a 27.... is it not as good as the 24 because of the backlight bleed?

With the latest drivers (320.18), I just received a report that the BENQ XL2720T has gotten a 940:1 contrast ratio in LightBoost mode. If colors during LightBoost are important to you, then the XL2720T is probably your best bet now. It's currently crowned the LightBoost color-quality champion.

The VG248QE, while has less LightBoost motion trailing artifacts, only has half the contrast ratio during LightBoost mode -- only ~500:1 or so, according to NCX' tests.

Tough choices. 24 vs 27 inches. And whether color quality is important, etc. And the very buggy 320.18 drivers, which need an upgrade. Unofficially, forum reports I monitor on about 10 to 20 discussion forums, show that:

Winners for LightBoost low crosstalk/minimum ghost (during LightBoost enabled mode):
VG248QE, XL2411T

Winners for LightBoost color quality:
XL2720T (320.18 drivers), with the VG278H a runner up (not HE).

(Note: I own both the XL2411T and the VG278H.)
One of the sites needs to do a LightBoost Comparision Test between 4 or 5 different monitors eventually.

The smaller 24" size is more suited to competitive gaming because you can see a larger proportion of the screen at once. 20" generally used to be hailed as the sweet spot but people have adjusted well to the new norms.

This can of course be counteracted by sitting further back from a 27" monitor, but for most gamers the drastic change would be enough to put them off their game and I doubt they would want to go through the adjustment period. Well I wouldn't, anyway!

EZ answer....The Samsung SA950D. Has near IPS color reproduction while 120hz. Some knock its design but I love how it looks. Goes well with my brushed aluminum theme.

oh....I obviously responded too late to save you from that purchase. smile.gif .....just kidding. You'll be happy with that monitor but a couple of my friends have Asus monitors and while they perform well the color has always been their downfall IMO.
