That's 3970k + 4 titan watercooled right? How can a 7850 crammed into a small box can outperform that? Silly pr.

No... Enthusiast PC builds are not market.
You can find a 3770k and GTX670 in Walmart though, which is market.

Such a short article that is an opinion summarizing a post made on linkedin. So far from the context i doubt many here even read the original article before simply commenting on a short quote taken from a longer post on a different site tongue.gif and i doubt many clicked and read the article as most just comment on the summary anyway haha

You can also find a GTX Titan in any retail store worth its salt. It's at Best Buy and Futureshop in Canada. Also he said they could deliver better graphics and computing performance. This is complete BS. A PS4 can't hold my GTX 670's jockstrap. Forget about Sli-680 and god forbid, Quad-Sli Titan.

I'll just post what I posted in the other thread....

"You have to realize, a 3930k, a 1,000 PSU, and the term's SLI and CFX do not ring any bells in the general public.  They don't know what that is.   A high end PC for the general consumer is just whatever computer at Best Buy looks like it's expensive, Dell XPS and HP Elites.  Those typically come with a decent processor but then are tied with a Nvidia 650 or a AMD 7770.  In this sense, with the amount of support the consoles get, it's debatable that they could outperform your average "high" end pc.

But of course, 85% of the computers on OCN are quite beyond the capabilities of the consoles (spec wise) Some of you guys with tri-fire 7970's and Titans are probably already as strong as the next NEXT gen (PS5/Xbox 2)...it's just that every ounce of juice of your monster machines won't be squeezed out quite like a consoles.  "

The PC gaming market is not filled with i7/Titan owners.  It's filled with OEM desktop machines and laptops.   Sure, enthusiasts exist (a la OCN), but the actual PC gaming market consists of cheap OEM desktops purchased between 2008 and now.  People who actually own Titans and 3930k, or even i5 2500k's, and purchase all the games.....probably consist of <5%

Keep yourselves in check.  EA can make these claims, because to the majority of the market, Titans and 3930k's is just computer nerd talk or don't actually exist.

Nah, an i3 with a 7870 is already an overkill...

Here, a 670 and an i7 is common place.  But congrats....we are the .000001%  Do you really think EA considers us as the "PC market"  Their games are targeting the millions of PCs that are purchased in the last 5 years.  Surely you guys could take "PC" and say...."OMG how dumb....our 48 core XEON PC's are sooo much faster.....DERP"  Well duh......but again, you're missing the point.  We're ahead of the bell curve and in no way represent the majority of the "PC market"

Yes but the EA quote was for the "High End PC". Not the common consumer PC which would probably be around the GT610 to GTX650 level. I've seen numerous 7850's though in AMD pre-built setups.
