3770K temps

Thread Starter
I just installed my new 3770K, non overclocked, I applied new thermal paste and have been monitoring temps with open hardware monitor.

Are my temps safe, as they seem kind of high? I am also using an Corsair H60 2013 cooler, I applied a small line of thermal paste using a leftover zalman compound.

during Prime 95 for 1 minute, temps were

CPU 1 - max 100 C
CPU 2 - max 105 C
CPU 3 - max 101 C
CPU 4 - max 99 C

You should probably shut that down right now. 105C is the threshold for severe damage. Is your water pump even running?

Too high. I have a stock 3770k with H100 I never break 50. You shouldn't be going over 90 on those.

That's still high too. What are your ambient temps?

Seems like there is bad contact between IHS and block. It's probably not enough fastened.
It seems like something may be wrong either with the contact between the cooler and the processor or the cooler's pump itself may be dead/dying.
