Its idling at around 40 C,

below are photos of the previous thermal paste i applied a line in the middle.

The H60 isn't all that great a cooler, but it should be better than that.  I'd use a little bit more thermal paste (not a lot, but a little so your contact patch is a little larger), and make sure your pump is running at full speed (plugged into either a full speed motherboard header or a molex connector). What kind of fan are you running on the radiator?

I am running the stock fan with the H60, but befoire that I had my I5 and it was not running anywhere near this temp.

the plugs are all plugged intop cpu fan headers, the rad fan into a 4 pin and the pump unit into a 3 pin connector on the mobo.

Judging by how much excess is left on the block and not spread out, my guess is you aren't tightening the block down enough.

Is there a break in time that would effect the heat by this amount?

I swapped thew stock cooler in and had even higher temps. I figured I would clear cmos and it appears to work now, I am running at with Prime 95 and Idle at about 35 C. Thanks for the help guys.

Under Load 8 workers
CPU 1 - max 62 C
CPU 2 - max 65 C
CPU 3 - max 64 C
CPU 4 - max 61 C
