Period correct - what case from 2005?

Thread Starter
Im close to finishing a build with all ridiculous components from around holidays of 2005 and I am left with one challenge.

What case do I build it in?
The reason for this is it coincides with when I first started into custom computers after using out of the box macs since 1993 and now that I work in the computer industry and have some funds available (and 2005 parts are cheap) I want to build what I couldn't build back then.
Its an exercise in nostalgia but I still want to build it right.

What case did you have back then? What case did you wish you could afford? If you could go back in time and pick up a new machine for Christmas of 2005, what is it built in?

Antec 900 case.

Um I don't think the 900 was out then but I'm probably wrong. I know I got my 900 in late 2006. I had an Antec Sonata back then from 04-05 so not really sure. Hell just grab an all acrylic one. They were all the rage back then tongue.gif .

A great case in its day! Good work on that one, guys!

Still a unique product - definitely belongs in the Case Hall of Fame (if there ever is one)

I forgot that in 05 everyone wanted HUGE cases.
Also I'm surprised with how expensive a lot of these chassis still are.

If you can find one there was the Rocket Fish (Lian-Li) that was sold at Best Buy.
