I'm surprised it took them that long to contact him.

Me too. The day I started using my Home server to stream music to work, I got a letter from Comcast... I still do it occasionally, and have never had an issue though.

Verizon should live up to it's advertised contract. This guy is probably a one-off case; he uses more data that I do in a year. However, it's only one single guy. Maybe if everyone done this then there would be some controversy. Stupid move my Verizon really, If they had just allowed the guy, they would still be able to name their service "unlimited" without false advertisement.

Wow 77TB. I checked and my Century Link DSL has a 250G monthly limit, I guess I've never been over. I don't see anything in the TOS that prohibits hosting a server.

They are advertising unlimited for limited internet. I would advertise to pay my monthly bill then pay half. But they can get away with it, I can't. I miss the good old days where corprorations defecated their pantaloons when an angry mob rallied around their head office with pitchforks. Corporations don't defecate their pantaloons enough these days

Kinda sucks really. Shows how most ISP's operate in America. They advertise you unlimited service then guess what, it's not so unlimited, there's now limitations in the contract. I just hope America get's their business model's in line. It's very concerning how much control these corporations have over their customers....
