From what I have read, it performs that all that much worse than the 8 series. I can run BF3 on ultra with ease with it.

Gaming is not my main thing, I have xbox for that, I need something powerful for my VM, but I'll wait for a week or so till my case comes and see if i didn;t get a deal i'll probably go with fx-63xx or 81xx

that's the thing, when the new xbox is here and it wont be a backward compatible and my current one wont be able to run new games ill get a powerful gpu card and turn this to a good over all rig for work and gaming for that only i need a good hw to support me then.

thanks mate, I have Corsair 500R on order, I love sabertooth motherboards but can't really justify the extra 40-50 bucks for 1 more sata and 8+2 vrx vs 6+2 vrm phase.

Ok so i went to Micro center not planning on buying anything but just to piss off the GF since she always takes me to her malls, and guess what i found a returned sabertooth 990fx for the price of the M5A99X!
It comes with 30days micro center return policy and full 5 years Asus warranty, so ignored the fact that it's missing 1 set of sata cables (i think) it only came with 1 set, but everything else is there, the back plate, the warranty, info sheet, manual, etc.

now I only need a HDD and CPU to be done with this build.
so far I'm at 50% used/openbox parts tongue.gif

thanks, thumb.gif
I saw those already, I'll never buy a HDD used, i wont buy anything with moving parts used.
for the FX I'll wait for better deal to come, I can get it from amazon new for 9.99 more.
I'll have to wait for my case to be shipped anyway the estimated delivery date is the 6th so I have about a week to hunt for deals biggrin.gif

Consider using the cheaper and lower power (95w) FX6300. I love this CPU to death. Have it at 4.5GHZ with a barely decent cooling setup.
