Razer DA 2013, Corsair M65 or something else?

I have the 1st gen DA since it came out, I still kinda like it but I think it is time for a change since it is starting to wear out.

I can't say that it fits perfectly in my hand, in fact my pinky feels akward when using my palm, so most of the time I am holding it with my finger tips/claw.

I like the rubber on the sides on the new DA, has a good sensor but I am not sure if I want to get it yet or try something new.

The Corsair M65 looks great, but I have no idea about build quality since I have never owned anything from Corsair before.

So what I am looking for is a mouse for finger tip/claw style (palm is ok too if it fits nicely to my medium to large sized hands) with good build quality mostly for SC2 and FPS games. I don't want any additional features but I do want back/forward buttons. Obviously, the sensor must be top notch too.

Besides the DA and the M65, any other recommendations? Which would you prefer out of these 2?

i must say , i had the same problem with my deathadder , i really liked it but i would grip him 2\4 fingertip 1\4 claw and 1\4 palm so it get pretty weird when i'm playing but overall it's ok mouse with amazing sensor , for my next mouse i've already ordered Steelseries Sensei RAW rubberized edition so i'm looking forward to it.

I too had the first gen 1800DPI DA and loved it but had to start looking for a replacement when one of the side buttons decided to die.

I played it safe and went for a mouse I knew I'd feel comfortable with so purchased a 2013 DA. The shape is the same as the original so no issues there. The rubber textured sides are great and a welcome update over the glossy sides of the OG DA.

This version also has a nice coating over it that gives it much nicer feel overall that the previous one, the older version felt a little stickier to me. I didn't like that.

The sensor has been fine and have had no issues.

The only downside is the lack of lighting choice once again. It would be nice for them to add some RGB solution to please everyone.

Another thing I'll mention is the Synapse 2.0 drivers. They're nowhere near as bad as people seem to suggest. Install them, set your mouse up and then disable the program from running at launch via msconfig.

Hope this information helps in your decision.

Thanks for your replies.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna like the new DA much more than my current one, so probably this is what I'm going to get. A change would be welcome after all these years with the same mouse but I'm not sure yet... I will wait a few more days though, see if anyone suggests anything else.

Any input on the M65 or any other good mice that I should consider?

tt esports theron...ugly mouse, but has weights and fits the hand nicely. But if you're happy with the DA maybe the 2013 will be nice. Best buy will match amazon in price, so many try and return if you don't like. I just don't like the new coating on the majority of the mouse...that's just me, feels cheap except for the nice side grips.

Its sensor might have noticeable "acceleration" since you used the DeathAdder.
I would get the DeathAdder 2013.

I recently bought an M95 and that has worked out for me really well. The M95 is really well built, and glides across most mouse surfaces with ease. It's a little on the heavier side, but to me, that just adds control.

I use to have the Razer Imperator which was definitely not as well made as the M95. Before I got the Imperator, I had a DA as well, first gen too. I really enjoyed the DA, the Imp did alright, was an okay upgrade. I wish I had just gotten another DA instead of the Imp; however, I'm super happy with my corsair peripherals! I own the 1500 headset, the M95, the K90 and their daul-surface mousemat. All are well constructed and have worked perfectly.

So taking the M95 into account, I'm sure the M65 will be great!

Well the coating can't be worse on the new DA, mine is worn out and it is really sticky. I have used it for many years though. Is the build quality on the new DA any better?

The D.A. 2013 reportedly has better quality than the previous ones.
