You can kind of tell a mouse is good for you from the get go... you should feel as though its an extension of your hand... there is no 'getting used to' phase.
Well I can tell you that I still have a Logitech G5 from when it was brand new in 2006, its still perfect today. Sure the colors are fading, but it is a 7+ Year old mouse, what do you expect. Also have a set of 6 year old Logitech speakers that still work perfectly, and I use a G500 at work, great response, it goes where I want it too, great clicking. I also have a G700 at home that is perfect too.
When it comes to Razer however, I went through 3 Deathadders in 4 months for various reasons, and a deathstalker keyboard. I do have a Razer Diamondback that still works, but the grips on the left and right mouse buttons is peeling, and its only about 4 years old.
So as I said, you have had bad luck with Logitech, doesn't mean its a bad brand. I mean they are even taking the time to listen to the community and fix problems with the current mice.
