What is your Dream Home/Room/Nerdcave/Etc.

Did a quick search and didn't find anything that was really this specific. Anyways, I want to know what your dream set up would be? It can be one room, multiple rooms, or a whole home. This is something I think about from time to time and thought it would be cool to see what all the other Overclockers wanted!

Whole Home:
Personally for me when and if we build a home (I've been told it has to be by the time I'm 40 by my loving Fiance lol) it will be completely integrated with technology. By the time I'm able to do that I'm sure there will be bigger and better gadgets for home use but speaking in todays terms I'd like to have the main outlets have a spot for usb devices to be charged, have whole home wifi, have nest control the thermostat, and have a small survelliance system just in case something were to happen where that would be useful.

Office:
I want my own office that will be home to my beast of a gaming pc. In current terms that would be a watercooled SLI/Cross Fire set up with one or two of those beastly Korean IPS monitors. The room itself can be smaller. Im thinking I want my desk to serve as a desk and a work bench at the same time. Possibly a large L shape desk mounted to the wall. One side dedicated for the PC and another dedicated to building and tinkering with things.

I also imagine I will have a small home server set up for all of our music, movies, and pictures. This will be connected to all the wireless devices in the house so that the files can be accessed from anywhere.

Living Room:
In my living room my Fiance is screaming for a big tv. I've told her 60' is the limit though as the tv will be used strictly for TV and possibly some light gaming. All of our Movie and Sports watching will be done in the theater room I want. If no theater room is completed then we can have a larger tv. I'll also have an HTPC capable of pushing 1080p games and video with ease so that she can play a few games if she'd like. The HTPC would also be connected to our home server so that she can watch any movies she'd like or listen to music etc.

Theater Room:
Will be dedicated to watching movies and sports in the highest resolution available at that time. Can't decide on whether I'd like a projector or a tv. The large scale tv's are making a big push and it's one I'd be interested in simply because I wont have to change bulbs etc. However, on the flip side a projector is cheaper and that would allow for me to upgrade resolutions cheaper. So for the time being it seems like the projector is the winner. Screen size = IDK. The plan is to put this in the basement and let it be its own dedicated room. Top of the line audio system is a must. I'm thinking tiered seating for atleast 8 people and 12 people maximum. Projector will be connected to some media center device capable of connected with my home server for streaming of content and it will also be connected to whatever means is necessary to get my football games. I'd like to have a small bar/food area set up down here as well.

and that my friends is my dream. I don't think that is too far fetched and I think everything other then the theater room will be very easy to achieve. The theater room is going to depend on how fast we can finish a basement after our house is built and on if we truly have the space for such a room. The reason why we are wanting to build is because my Fiance will be inheriting 50 to 100 acres of land when we get married. Depending on whether her sister wants her half or not.

So lets see some of your ideas!

I haven't really gone beyond concept for my dream house. I know I would want the entire house to be networked. I would probably put my "office" area close to the main entertainment/tv room if there's enough space. The office would be setup with a large desk and plenty of shelf space, and my gaming rig would go there. If the room is big enough there would be my big screen (currently 55 inch, could go bigger) with a surround sound set up and whatever gaming console(s) is out at the time, and maybe an HTPC (kinda depends on where consoles are headed I guess). I would probably add a second TV with a Wii for a playroom for my kids as well (in a different room of course).

Like I said, it's pretty generic...hard for me to pick out exactly how I'd want it until I'm actually planning one.

Definitely feel you on wanting to see where the consoles are headed. I like the way the Xbox One is looking. Just hate the idea of paying monthly for their internet services. PC and PS3 kinda got me spoiled on that end. If it offers a pretty nice media center experience I could possibly be swayed that way though.
