Recommend Me A Monitor

Thread Starter
Hey guys I am looking for a monitor I would like to use for my next build. I considered going for a triple monitor setup but honestly think that it is a hassle and the bezels would really annoy me. So I decided to get one big monitor instead. These are my requirements:

27"or higher screen
120Hz refresh rate or higher
5ms or lower response time
High resolution
Tilt/Swivel/Height adjustment
IPS panel only

Thanks, I hope you guys will be able to help me choose one smile.gif
P.S. For resolution, I was looking for anything over 1080p, but if this is not possible, 1080p is fine.

If you don't mind not having any extra inputs and some possible backlight bleed your only real option to have 120hz and higher than 1080p on a IPS panel is a catleap 2B. You could go for a Qnix if having PLS rather than IPS is an option. Other than that i would go for that Asus 144hz 27" monitor. Right now the Qnix and 144hz Asus are the best bang for your buck that fits all your credentials. You will have to overclock the Qnix but there is no legit IPS panel currently that is stock over 60hz. The Asus one is TN but fits all the rest of your credentials. Catleaps are way overpriced and hard to find now.

Well except for the stand adjustments but frankly you could grab either of these monitors for around 300 and then get that monoprice VESA stand for 20 buck.

Not sure how good i answered you but hopefully this helps some.

Not true

I have a Qnix 1440p monitor running 142hz. Actually right now you cannot have over 60hz on ANY IPS panel without overclocking. So with no modification i am going to say you have to go 1440p due to no legit IPS panels over 60hz like i said you are stuck unless you get a korean monitor and overclock. Other than that you have to go TN for higher than 60hz.

If you give up over 60hz then there are plenty of good quality IPS panels. Dell has some very nice ones with good stands.

Buy an x-star dp2710 from ebay from user bigclothcraft. 2560x1440 @ 130hz $290

You won't find a better monitor for the same value

Got my Qnix from BCC as well thumb.gif

And like i said to fit your stand preferences get an aftermarket one you wont regret it and it will make a stand no longer a taxing variable for your next purchase.

Well in the last line of my first post I say if it isn't possible to go over 1440p then 1080p will be fine.

Thank you for your input, What do you know of that is 60Hz?
