There is a $20 rebate on that GPU bringing it down to $269.99, which will bring it under your $900 limit.

you forgot optical drive ( required to install OS ) and operating system not to mention why did you use a western digital caviar blue that is going to be his main OS drive according to your build layout.

caviar blues are more of an eco hardrive and dont hold up to extreme daily use like gaming and dont often perform that well that is where you need a cav black a cav blue makes a good secondary storage drive.

Good. We'll gladly hear your opinion. However:

Stop spouting your opinion as fact. You are incorrect 100% and you seemingly cannot get that. If you are going to advise someone, advise them with facts, not opinion. You've been completely shown with actual peer-reviewed sources that your "advice" is completely wrong. Yet you still think you are correct by just writing a long run-on paragraph that you seemingly think is truth when it isn't.

Advice isn't advice when its wrong and utter garbage. All you've been doing is spouting an opinion, which we can deal with, and trying to give facts that are factually incorrect and then trying to pass that on to someone asking help. That's garbage advice. And that's why you are getting so damn shot down its not even funny.

You wonder why this forum seems so Intel biased? Because this is a performance forums. "Overclock.net: The Pursuit of Performance". AMD does not offer performance, hence why you see so many people with Intel rigs. However, every person that seems biased to Intel because of actually giving evidence to prove said performance is in fact not biased. All they are doing is showing you facts that show exactly that: Factual information. I never see a person on this forum defending Intel without actually backing up their evidence 100%. I've seen MANY times AMD users trying to say their stuff is better than Intel's higher end or that it is somehow it is better performing than Intel. That's not factual. All those people (you included) are doing is just blowing hot air without backing it up.

Best part? Half this forum that has Intel would easily switch over to AMD if AMD offered better performance than Intel. Fact is? They don't. That's not fanboying. That's fact.

The only fanboy in this thread are you and the other people who were extolling AMD as a better choice than Intel to the OP without backing up their claims with evidence to prove they are correct.

I'll say it once more. The only fan-boy right now is you.

You don't need an optical drive to install your OS nor the majority of applications you will ever run on your computer. And a WD Caviar Blue is a damn fine drive. Let me guess. You are a fanboy to the WD Blacks? There is no reason to spend more than 120% the cost of a WD Blue for a drive that offers no performance benefit and offers not too much better MTBF. Cut the crap.

Blocking on this forum doesn't completely block someone unfortunately frown.gif. I have a nasty habit of opening up the comment of a blocked user just to see what they wrote so I end up reading it anyways >.>

The WD black is only about $35.00 more and for a main drive-well, if that little isn't going to hurt you I would spend it.

the main difference from cav blue and cav black is cav blue warranty is 2yrs and cav black warranty is 5yrs also add to it the cav black is in generaly lowwer seek times / latency and higher transfer rates and added reliability over cav blue.

cav black http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-WD1002FAEX-Internal-Desktop/dp/B0036Q7MV0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1370223956&sr=1-1&keywords=western+digital+caviar+black $91.26

cav blue http://www.amazon.com/WD-Blue-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B0088PUEPK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370223843&sr=8-1&keywords=western+digital+caviar+blue $67.63

total difference is $23.63 so you do the math still think the cav blue is just as good as cav black for gaming lowwer seek times / latency and faster transfer rates are what matters to keep from getting hardrive hitching in games a notorious issue in demanding games like BF3 multiplayer and such if you dont know what hardrive hitching do some home work it is often refered to as hardrive stuttering / hitching which is highly prone to happen in newwer demanding games like BF3 with mechanical drives.

basicaly what hitching is is where the the data cant move quick enough from hardrive so the system will render 2 or more frames as a double or tripple aka your reading out 60fps when actualy at 30fps or below because alot of the frames are just doubles this is hardrive hitching / stuttering very common with mechanical drives with modern demanding games.

heres a descent test of cav blue and cav black 500gb of almost exact drives as the ones e both listed just the 500gb version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZB0jvLl3Ag

The 7870xt does rock, but don't forget to look at the asus 7870, I love the hell out of mine, its in my second rig, going to x fire 2 of them, runs cool as hell and 1200/1500 on stock voltage easy.
