Even still, you should be able to do anything in front of the Kinect. MS in in the business of getting money from you, not putting you in jail.

Well. Good luck to them.

I for one will never give money to any company that seeks to force me to have an ISP contract to use software on a machine. Internet is unreliable, Internet access should always be optional, not bloody mandatory.

Considering what some countries pay for internet access, it's just common sense.

while I agree with everybody's concerns, I still take them with a grain of salt.

When I purchased Battlefield 3, and pretty much everybody else for that matter, I'm sure nobody stood there in the store with it in their hands thinking "man I really want to play this game for it's multiplayer, but the Internet is just sketchy and I can't imagine not being able to play this game for the 4 hours my ISP is down. I suppose I can never accept this inherent risk and never buy this game frown.gif "

Microsoft "hopes" developers will use cloud computing is what was actually said. If you've ignored the majority of the thread and also didn't read the article, the title is excessively underhanded click bait.

I do. My house has walls that are not friendly to wifi. Tried a ton of different routers before finding one that would reach. My PS3 signal is still sketchy at best. I don't really care since I stick with single player games for my console. Any MP is usually done with my PC. Was a little bummed to have dark souls not work that well for me.

That means it has to be connected to have access to the code that exist in the cloud. That is, I believe, what the majority of this thread complaints are about. If a developer uses cloud computing it would mean we couldn't enjoy the game offline. Unless of course they stuck only with MP elements.

And? They're not taking games online for the purpose of being online, they're taking games online to use cloud computing and put out bigger and better titles without the need for a hardware update.

People really have to understand that the people who don't have the ability to be always online aren't part of the target audience for Xbox One. The Xbox One is far more concerned with the market that adopted the Wii than the market that the 360 and PS3 quarreled over.

Maybe I really am a minority in that I fire up the console to play solo or with other friends in the same room. I've played online on a console maybe twice?

That's all I really want. A good gaming console with some movie playback. Is this a minority opinion too?
