Monitor Recommendation for Work

post #1 of 3

Hello Folks,

I just wanted to get your opinions on this matter. I have been looking to get a new monitor(actually two, thinking about a dual setup) and quite confused with panel types etc.

I primarily will be using this monitor for work. I will be in front of computer(generally browsing, reading, coding) ~8-10 hours a day, five days a week and I am looking for a quality monitor I can use with no hassle. I am currently using an LCD and my eyes are getting tired very quickly. Other than this, a bit movies, it would be good to get a monitor on which I can watch movies good enough. Gaming is not a priority for me. My budget is around ~$200-300 for each monitor. (I may increase this a bit more depending on alternatives)

After a research, I've found the alternatives below;

Dell U2312HM
HP Pavilion 23xi
Dell U2412M

Anybody who would recommend any of these above or something else? I would really appreciate your thoughts on this.

You can get a 27" 1440p Auria monitor from MicroCenter for $400. This is the multi input version. It doesn't have as fast of refresh time as the dvi only panel, but since gaming isn't a priority you'll never notice.
