ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 USB question

I upgraded to this M5A99X about a month or so ago and I'm extremely pleased with it. I have just one concern, sort of.........the USB ports stay active after I power off the PC. Is this normal? Is there a way to turn that "feature" off? I have looked everywhere I can think of and can't find any info on this.

Thanks for any ideas.

(Corrections from anyone if I'm wrong) A lot of motherboards feature a +5SBV (Stand By Voltage) which keeps power to USB devices. I charge some devices with this feature.

Not that I know of. If it's the power draw you're worried about then switch off your pc at the mains

Ehh...it's more of a nuisance factor, I guess. I have a long USB cable to my printer that has a BRIGHT blue LED in both plugs. It's rather bright at night (my PC is in my bedroom) and it's ON all the time. Plus, my Wingman Digital Extreme joystick is ON all the time but the power LED isn't nearly as bright as the USB cable. I can use a different cable, I suppose.............

I was just thinking there should be a way to turn it off in the BIOS rather than the main PSU switch.

Thanks anyway.
