Installing Windows 7 in Asus Sabertooth 990FX GEN3

Hi All,
So just 2 day ago I got new Asus Sabertooth 990FX GEN3 mobo and Samsung 840 (not Pro) SSD. And I am trying to install Windows 7 from scratch. But I am running into strange issue.
I am trying to install Windows 7 from bootable USB and When I select "Install Now", I don't see my SSD drive listed PLUS I am also getting message that I need to install drivers to see my drives.

If I insert mobo CD, I don't see any driver to install for single HDD... I can see there are drivers for RAID and AHCI but they are of no use (btw, I have already tried to select them but no go)

I have tried to play options like disabling secure boot or using AHCI instead of IDE in SATA configuration but nothing has helped ...I think it has something to do with UEFI but I am not sure what I need to do.

Weirdest part is if I enable RAID and start system, I can boot into my old RAID 0 drives ... so right now I am cloning that drive to SSD using Data Migration tool but all I wanted to do is to install Windows from scratch.

Any help is really appreciated. smile.gif

I am not sure if this matters, my other hardware is ..
AMD FX 8120 Black edition
GSKILLS 4Gb x 4
Sapphire Radeon 6770
WD Caviar Blue 320 x 2 (RAID 0)

You most likely need to get the "AHCI (Pre-install)" driver from the motherboard driver page. You will want to download this driver and extract it (7zip is awesome). Take the extracted files and pop them on a thumb drive - then when you are at the point where you cant see your SSD.. load the driver from the flash drive and you should be all set

Mobo dvd already includes those drivers and I have already tried it unsuccessfully. But it still gives me same error message about drivers.

just built a system for a friend last week with this motherboard, i also initially had issues with windows installing on the drive, however i changed something in the bios that fixed it, cant remember what it was though, but seems as if it had something to do with the boot order, ahci was defautly enabled already, but no mb drivers are required to install windows 7, dunno about if raid is enabled.

Yes, me too think that it has something to do in BIOS and have tried options like disabling secure boot, ACHI/IDE in sata setting but none of them has helped me.
