NZXT Switch 810 - Fan Questions

Using the board on the back (the 8 fan board), is there a way to control those fans plugged into there?

I''ve been trying but cannot figure it out to save my life.

Not really. Unless you have a fan controller with 50w+ (depending on how many fans you have plugged in) per channel, then you use a 3 pin to molex adapter and plug it into the fan board.
You would need a conversion cable, and a fan controller with 30W/ch or more (assuming you are using "avg" fans = 3W each x8 = 24W + 6W of headroom for startup voltage). The BitFenix Hydra Pro or the more expensive Lamptron models are able to provide the current, but you need to add up the wattage of each of the fans that'll be plugged in (ie 0.4a + 0.15a + 0.25a + 0.2a = 1a or 12W).

Keep in mind, too, that having different types of fans plugged in means that the speeds will vary relative to their max, so with the fan controller set to 50%, you may have two fans at 800rpm, one at 1100rpm, and another one still pushing air at 2000rpm.

I will be using the Lamptron FC Touch. Two Enermax Magma's will be on one channel, one third Magma will be on the second, and the rest of the channels each will have one fan (the white one's that came with the NZXT Switch 810).

i am getting a Switch 810 build at the end of the year (or so i think) and then deploy my 180W fan controller! Yes, no less than 180W!
That said if you're going to do 50W on those 8 channels via a fan controller you better make sure the 3pin to molex converters are pretty thick in AWG or you will find it burning itself to crisps tongue.gif

If I calculated correctly the wattage through my one and only YSplitter is 9.6 W. The rest are singles
