New monitor resolution issues!

Thread Starter
Hi, I'm having an issue with the resolution setting on my new AOC e2050Sn Monitor.

From what I can gather, the native resolution of the display is 1600x900, When I select this resolution on my PC, The image is squashed to the middle of the screen with about 10mm of black at the top and bottom, on the monitor's OSD it states the resolution it is running at is infact 1280x960.

I'm lost on what to try next, but my PC runs an AMD A4-5300 with a Radeon HD 7480D, with up to date drivers (I have also tried AMD's beta drivers, to no avail)

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance!

Did you install the monitor drivers. Sometimes you have to install the proper driver to get the max res. Also if you have a spare vga cable try to swap that

Hi, Yes i have got the drivers for the monitor, And scaling doesn't seem to do anything...

I have pretty much ruled out that it's the screen at fault, I tried connecting it to my laptop over VGA and it ran at 1600x900 fine. So that means hardware or a driver issue on the PC side. I have tried using the same version of AMD Catalyst that my laptop was using (13.1) with the same problem.

As before, you can see that the PC thinks it's outputting at 1600x900, but the monitor is showing as 1280x960

Didn't find a solution to my problem, But I returned the monitor and exchanged it for a LG 22" IPS screen, and i'm so glad I did.

Picture is amazing!
