Unusual FPS in Video games i7 2600K @4.3GHz

My friend has a GTX 660ti and i have a GTX 670. We took screenshots in game to compare frames while looking at the same objects.
Left side is me, right side is his.

I don't know what the problem is really.

whats the vram on the cards? and are they oc or stock? I have my titan FPS locked to 120HZ but on 64 man Metro games i drop to 70 FPS sometimes. idk. but outdoor enviro's hit the vram pretty hard, especially Operation Firestorm

This isn't a good way to compare FPS at all. Your frame rate isn't consistent and will vary greatly.

If you want a more reliable way to do it then do a FRAPS benchmark run and take a 30 second average smile.gif

It would help if you told us what you think the "problem" is.

Yeah BF3 is one of the few games that can actually break the 2GB mark and makes me happy I went with the 3GB card, though it rarely does so.

You have a FTW so it's got a decent clock, but have you checked to see if it's being throttled at all? I know my SC used to throttle due to heat so I RMA'd it and the new one has no issues at all, overclocks really well to boot.

Should compare more than just looking at static objects though. Have each of you run a set path through a map with fraps saving the frames and then compare afterwards.

2 GB each, i am going to try a new motherboard tomorrow and then narrow it to either my CPU or GPU.

How do I check if its throttling?

Any of the various GPU monitoring tools to make sure it's not getting too hot and the clock/mem speeds aren't being reduced.
Rivatuner works pretty well.
