I agree though PS4 probably has this one. Hype train for it already started. thumb.gif

Just like I said back to him (I believe) MS is using actual sold numbers, the PS3 has had more shipped which means it'll most likely over-take the 360 sometime this year anyway assuming that retailers are reading trends right...Which makes sense, this generation has dragged on so long that most people who got a 360 are now buying PS3s for its exclusives and visa versa.

It's not surprising, PS4 is gaming console, every feature it has is basically for gaming and gaming experience, it has more exclusives, more powerful hardware so it'll endure longer, it can be hard to code, but i dont think it's gonna be a problem for developers since they whined about console technology for over a year.

From the other hand, xbox one is all-in-one console, half of it's features are for US, you can watch TV, shows, watch movies, watch your fav. episodes and in the meantime, you can play some games, not much exclusives but they're enough to buy xbox one for US based consumers. Developing will be easier than PS3 because, it's xbox only advantage. It wont endure much like PS4, so in couple of years we will see another xbox (Two perhaps)

Sony and Microsoft, they're playing in different leagues now, one go for gaming, other go for home cinema + console + TV combo = more money to earn

I really don't understand why Xbox live is claimed to be so much better than PSN.

With PSN I hit "Sign In" and I can message my friends, invite them to games and then talk with them in game using a mic.

What more do you need? Also since I just payed £300 for a console and the £30-£50 for the games I really don't want to fork out more money to play online.

Maybe it is just me.

I see ware your coming from for a free services PSN was OK but fare behind Xbox live. I personally think the live friend list better thene PSN sending a message was easier, inviting then in to games was easier and worked more offend, being able to jump right in to a Friends games made life a lot easier, and party chat was just plane better no need to be in a game with them to chat. But in the end it all comes down to the person for me I found that I liked the Xbox more then the PS I never really cared what exclusives they had hell I hate most of them that both sides had God of war was so over rated at least to me and I did not like Grand Turismo 5 at all more of a Forza kind of guy Uncharted was good but multiplayer was crap and mag just was not that good at all, and for Xbox halo was fun for the story but never liked the multiplayer same for gears hell I cant even remember any more xbox exclusive just never really in to them. But as a said its up to the end user to see value in it and for me I did I still think I will be pick up both new consoles and enjoying what both have to offer but if PSN still lacks the ease of use, party chat, and reliability that Xbox live I will end up playing on Xbox more often but that just me. biggrin.gif

Fact is
Xbox 360 sold more, (especially in the main market, North America)
multi-plat games play better on average on a Xbox 360
Xbox live > psn (not even close)
Multi-plays sell twice as many copies on Xbox 360

the biggest downside of shared memory on pc's was that it used the slow system memory (or DDR2/DDR3) for graphics. the PS4 uses GDDR5, so that particular shared memory concern is a non issue.

Except devs will get more out of the PS4's hardware than they ever could on a PC's API, so whether you'll be able to "destroy" multi-plat games that are made on these consoles and for PC is, imo, unlikely. thumb.gif

I really do not see how the differences between the Xbone and PS4 amount to anything close to the same order of magnitude of complexity as the differences between the 360 and PS3.

It's the same processor on both consoles. The same.
