Good looking out. Ill keep that in mind but i wont limit his choices though.

Other choices are Biostar TZ77XE3, XE4, HiFi.

How high do you think a G45 can overclock to 24/7 ? Im not too familiar with Biostar, do they have an automatic switch or something super easy to do on the spot? Are they better than going with like a common one like MSI/Gigabyte/asus

Biostar make some nice boards and are commonly overlooked, even by me redface.gif

Lower end MSI boards have limited voltage control. I don't really remember the range of it though. As far as hardware goes, I would not push CPU beyond 150w of power consumption (I'm not sure at what clock the CPU consumes that much). Also at that load VRM definitely run on hot side. You probably want to stay under 100W, or use some extra cooling on that board if you ever buy it. Therefore, just avoid it. GD55 is much better, and worry free.

Not sure if Biostar has any easy OC options, but most people over here would say to ignore it, and go manual anyway. Especially since OCing CPU today means increasing multiplier, voltage, and playing with LLC.
